Join us for World Vision’s Global 6K for Water! This is a wonderful opportunity for families to join together for something meaningful and fun, reach out to our neighbors, and change the lives of children all over the world! Watch World Vision’s video to learn more about the heart behind this 6k. Registration for our fall retreat is now open at whcchome.org/FALLRETREAT!! Join us this fall for Formed by the Word: How the Spirit Uses the Scriptures in Our Christian Formation, happening October 24–26, 2025 at Camp Blessing in Brenham, TX. Together, we’ll explore how the Holy Spirit uses the Word to shape our minds, stir our hearts, and guide our daily lives. Through teaching sessions, worship, and intergenerational connection, we’ll deepen both our understanding of Scripture and our life together as a church. Come ready to be formed, encouraged, and united across generations.

Our church’s Care Ministry warmly invites parents to encourage their teens to join the ministry serving children with special needs. Through this valuable opportunity, they can learn new skills, make friends, and experience the joy of serving. Sign your teen up today and join us in making a meaningful impact on lives!

We also welcome adults to serve individuals with special needs—adults, please sign up here to join us!

Join us at 9:30 AM in Room 103 for a 7-week journey in discovering the unique God-given calling on your life through working through a variety of resources and tools (e.g. Younique, CliftonStrengths, etc.) designed to help us understand our unique calling, strengths, and areas to grow closer to Christ. Pre-registration is required. Please register here by Friday, September 5 to let us know you’ll be joining! Reading and homework will be assigned each week to help each person gain personal insight.

Join us in Room 153 at 9:30 AM as we study 1 Timothy and explore how Christ-centered teachings can grow our faith, guide the church body, and help us spur one another toward godliness as a community of believers. Please register here to let us know you’ll be joining!

For the month of September, please see the altered prayer meeting schedule below:

• Sep 3: No prayer meeting
• Sep 10: Churchwide prayer meeting
• Sep 17: English prayer meeting at noon; global ministries prayer meeting at 7 PM
• Sep 24: No prayer meeting (staff at pastors retreat)

Starting in October, prayer meetings will resume their regular schedule. You may also see our updated prayer meeting schedule on our website.

From December 25 – January 1, we will be sending a short-term mission team in partnership with children from a local orphanage to bring worship and joy to kids in remote villages. Together, we’ll also encourage and support local pastors as they grow their church ministries. This summer’s short-term mission trips are about to begin! We invite you to actively respond to the Great Commission—whether by going in person, supporting through prayer, or giving financially, every effort plays a vital role in advancing the gospel!

WHCC’s Care Ministry hosts a monthly Support Group for Parents of Kids with Special Needs. Childcare will be provided for kids and teens with special needs and their siblings, for parents attending the support group.
