Prayer Needs and Praises

• Israeli War. Please pray to the Lord for wisdom for the leaders waging war in the Middle East, particularly through the use of wireless devices. Pray for mercy, that the loss of innocent life in places like Lebanon and Syria would be minimized during this dangerous phase of the war.
• Typhoon Yagi. Please pray for mercy on the people of Southeast Asia, where hundreds of people in the Phillipines, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Laos have lost their lives. Pray that the Lord would provide and bring humanitarian aid and relief to the areas with greatest need.

• Our church’s mission is to Welcome sojourners home to the joy of following Jesus together, and our current vision is Expanding the Tent. Pray for us as we pursue this mission and vision together, that the Lord would give us grace and passion to reconnect with Him, with each other, and with our neighbors in the unity of the Spirit. Pray that our church would continue to take steps of faith toward worshiping and fellowshiping together in person, to more deeply experience His presence in community.

• Praise our Lord that Wilson’s surgery was successful! Continue to pray for a good outcome and recovery.
• Please pray for Edith Cheng, who will have back surgery on October 4.
• Carson Lo. Please continue to pray for our brother Carson Lo, that the doctors would have wisdom as they treat him and for healing. Pray for the Spirit of peace to be with Mary Ann as she continues to care for him and their family during this difficult time.
• Those employed in the manufacturing industries. May the Lord bless their work with outstanding quality and excellence as they serve with the spirit of Jesus. May the Lord give them grace and joy in their work and help them to exercise their faith in the workplace as they testify Jesus’ name.

• Hannah Hsu with InterVarsity in Dallas. 1) Praise God Hannah has had a productive week. Please continue to pray for her overall health as she balances her ministry workload, and for her to put into practice what she preaches. 2) Pray for students to commit and take ownership over the discipleship pods they’re launching, and that they would sharpen each other through these rhythms. 3) Pray for her discernment and future planning, and for God’s provision of local volunteers. 4) Pray for her fundraising, as she is currently 57% funded for the 2024-2025 school year.
• Thomas Tao’s Seamen’s Ministry. 1) PTL brothers Wei-Chung Su from FBCC and Payton Huang from WHCC came and helped the ministry. 2) Please pray for the salvation of Esmraj Singly on the ship Haifeng. 3) Please pray for the families of Jeanoe Paramio on the ship Genco Hunter, Caruto Makabenta on the ship Industrial Courage, Ankur Raghav Wala on the ship Levantine Sea, Reynald Jairus C-Alas on the ship Kwk Excelsus, and Vavid Georgantzis on the ship Aegean Horizon.

• Praise God for the faithful service of our summer Sunday School teachers! Pray that God commemorates the hard work and dedication of the teachers, and greatly blesses them!

Pray for our D-Group leaders. As they begin to connect with their groups, may they foster an environment where each student feels valued and drawn closer to Jesus.

• Small Groups and Life Groups. Pray that as our small groups and life groups begin to meet, that the Lord would bless the leadership of the shepherds and grant them a sacrificial love for their people. Pray for both wisdom and strength as they serve Jesus and His body with joy.

• Praise the Lord for a great Cantonese Fall outing on September 21! Even though the location was further away and the weather was a bit warm, we had close to 100 people come to the outing. Our brothers and sisters and all the invited nonbelieving friends had a wonderful time fellowshipping with one another. May our Lord continue to give all of us the heart to reach out and share the Gospel with our non-Christian friends.
• Pray for the Southeast Asia short-term mission team lunch fundraising event on Sunday, Sep 29. Pray for all the coworkers to serve together with joy and unity, and for a good fundraising result from this event.

• Ps. Andy Lee, Ps. Xuezhi Liao, Min. Andrew Pua. Pray that the Holy Spirit would anoint and protect their bodies, minds, and spirits as they prepare their sermons for Sunday, Oct 6.

• Crossbridge Christian Church and its pastor, Ps. Kevin Pigg. Pray for their ministry and growth.
• New Heart Music Ministry, its co-workers, and its pastor, Ps. Ephraim Cheng. May our Lord use their music ministry to reach many unbelievers.
